The company PEZAG was established as one of the first joint ventures in Czechoslovakia in 1991. The founders were Agrostroj Pelhrimov, the largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Czechoslovakia, and the Dutch company PZ Zweegers. The primary aims of the firm were commercial and business activities – to create the Czechoslovak trade network for selling the products of the PZ Zweegers and to export the products of Agrostroj Pelhrimov with a trademark PEZAG to Western Europe and overseas. In 1999, when PEZAG bought the manufacturing plant in Třešť from Agrostroj Pelhřimov and started its own production of the components for agriculture machines, the company activity was greatly diversified. In 2002, PEZAG became a part of the holding company Eurotech Group, which has offered the company new possibilities for development and growth. By this step a long and demanding journey began, at the end of which was to build up a dynamic and successful company at European level - not only as for the technological equipment, but also regarding the production in the fields with high quality and delivery dates requirements.
In connection with the new trends in demand and production technologies, even the production structure has changed in recent years. A substantial part of production has oriented to aluminium machining and machining of the parts with high accuracy and quality demands. To obtain the certification ISO 9001:2008 was a matter of course. Nowadays, PEZAG is a supplier of components to the branches such as medical devices, digital projection equipment, printing machinery, power engineering, textile machinery, logistics systems, airport transport systems, municipal and agricultural equipment. With 140 employees, it belongs among one of the largest employers in Trest and its vicinity. The average age of the company employees is 41 years. This fact clearly suggests that the new technologies in production are operated mainly by young professionally trained people, which guarantees the company necessary dynamics and flexibility. In the machine park of the company you can find machining centres of the firms Okuma, Kitamura, Maxmill, Hermle, lathes, Okuma, Daewoo, ZPS or the Schenk balance machines. Also 3D measuring device Venzel, DEA, Numerex.
Not only thanks to focusing on demanding production with a high added value, but also because of the Eurotech Group background and a close cooperation with the members of the holding company, PEZAG managed to reach a level comparable with western firms. As a successful and a long-term development oriented company, PEZAG is aware of its responsibility and actively participates in the development of the region, in which it operates. Above all, it is a case of financial support of sport and cultural events at the local level, and so on.
Pezag Foundry Castings Ltd. was established in April 2011 by gaining an independence of the former aluminium cast foundry Pezag PLC. It is a subsidiary
company, which remains associated by its production with Pezag PLC. and other plants of the holding Eurotech Group. Pezag Castings Ltd. ranks in its field among the smaller foundries and it focuses on small to medium series up to one thousand pieces. By the production range the foundry appropriately complements the modern comprehensive foundry plant Eurotech Aluminium Castings in the Netherlands. The objective of the foundry, as a member of the holding Eurotech Group, is to offer its customers a complete service not only in terms of serial production of castings, but also to provide a comprehensive support during a prototype and zero series production. We are able to provide both the necessary model patterns for castings as well as the subsequent cooperation of flameproof and surface finish. Our experts will ensure, by cooperation within the frame of the holding, reliable supplies of high quality final products. These days the preparations of the start of a new hand moulding line with a frame size of 1400x1400 mm and a casting weight up to 100 kg are culminating.
On February 4, 2011 celebrated the 20th PEZAG year anniversary of its founding.
